Note:
FMOS 9.10.0 created a trimmed FMOS upgrade file that has removed several device packs to reduce the overall size of the image to remove the partition size requirements discussed in this article. Please be sure to follow the instructions in the release notes linked below if upgrading to 9.10.0 to ensure all necessary device packs are loaded. If you are going to version 9.10.2 or greater, there is no need to upgrade your boot partition. If you would like to increase your boot partition, you need to rebuild the system and do a data-only restore of your latest backup.
Prerequisite:
In order for FMOS 9.10 to install correctly, the boot partition must be at least 16 GB. For existing customers using a server that was originally installed with versions earlier than FMOS 9.3.4, 9.4.2, 9.5.0, you will need to run the following command on the server with the FMOS deployment to determine your path to 9.10.0:
df -h| grep 'boot' | awk '{ if($2 == "16G") {print "Your server is ready for 9.10.0"} else {print "Backup, install, and restore are needed for 9.10.0"}}'
df -h| grep 'boot' | awk '{ if($2 == "16G") {print "Your server is ready for 9.10.0"} else {print "Backup, install, and restore are needed for 9.10.0"}}'
You will receive one of the following messages below.
Your server is ready for 9.10.0
If you received this message, your server has a boot partition of at least 16 GB and you can continue as you would for upgrading to a new FMOS release.
