Summary
FMOS users can reset their passwords if hey have lost or forgotten them. To ensure a user can only reset his or her own password and not other users' passwords, the user must have access to the e-mail address associated with the account.
Important
Passwords can only be rest for FMOS user accounts that have an associated e-mail address. If the user did not associate an e-mail address with his or her account he or she WILL NOT be able to reset the password.
Command Line Interface
The password for an FMOS user can be reset using the Command Line Interface, either using the local console or remotely using SSH. A special user account, resetpassword is used to access the password reset tool on the CLI.

Log in as the resetpassword user; a password is not required.

At the Username prompt, type your FMOS username and press ENTER.

Launch your e-mail client and check for a new message with the subject FMOS: Password Reset Request.

Open the message and copy the Authorization Code.

Return to the FMOS CLI and type or paste the Authorization Code, then press ENTER.

Type a new password and press ENTER.

Type the new password again to confirm it, then press ENTER.
Note
The new password must comply with the configured password policy.
After the password has been reset successfully, press ENTER to exit the password reset utility. For SSH sessions, this will terminate the connection.
Control Panel GUI
The password for an FMOS user can be reset using the FMOS Control Panel Graphical User Interface.

Navigate to the Control Panel GUI login screen.

Click the Forgot your password? link.

Enter your FMOS username in the Username field and click Send Email

Launch your e-mail client and check for a new message with the subject FMOS: Password Reset Request.

Open the message and click the Reset Password link.

Type a new password in the New Password field.

Type the new password again to confirm it in the Confirm New Password field.

Click the Reset Password button
Note:
The new password must comply with the configured password policy.
After the password has been reset successfully, it can be used immediately to log in to the Control Panel GUI.
Instead of clicking the link from the e-mail message, you can also copy the Authorization Code from the message and enter it in the Authorization Code field that appears after you click the Send Email button.
