Summary

The FireMon services are expected to listen on ports 8081-8083.

Description

This message appears if one of the FireMon services is not listening on the expected port. Security Manager is expected to listen on port 8081, Workflow on port 8082, and the Normalization Worker on port 8083.

Impact

If port 8081 is not listening:

• The FireMon application will be unreachable

If port 8082 is not listening:

• The Policy Planner module will not function

If port 8083 is not listening:

• Incoming results from data collectors will not be processed and stored

• Reports will not be run

Cause

• The FireMon service in question is not running

• The FireMon service is misconfigured

• The FMOS machine is not healthy (e.g. low disk space, out of memory)

Resolution

• Ensure the FMOS machine is in a healthy state

• Apply configuration policy via the fmos redeploy command

• If the above steps do not fix the problem, contact FireMon support
