We constantly update our software to ensure consistent support for the latest versions of firewalls, routers, and other network security enforcement points. We also update our software to offer new functionality, correct defects, and improve security. We recommend customers update to our latest release to get all the benefits of these changes.
We only provide full support for the two most recent releases of the FireMon Operating System (FMOS). We will attempt to support customers running unsupported releases, but support will be limited and best effort only. Customers running an unsupported release are encouraged to update to a supported release to receive the full support experience. A complete list of supported releases is listed below.
FireMon can assist with updating to a supported release. Customers wanting to receive assistance should contact us at support@firemon.com and specify the release they are on and the release they want to upgrade to. A customer support agent will reach out to assist.
Supported Releases
Our releases consist of major releases denoted by 0 in the third portion of the release number and maintenance releases denoted by any number other than 0. For example, 9.5.0 is a major release whereas 9.5.2 is a maintenance release.
Our major releases typically include software improvements, new features, bug fixes, and security improvements. Major releases are released two to three times a year on average.
Our maintenance releases deliver software fixes and the occasional minor software improvement. Maintenance releases are constrained in scope to improve quality and time to market. Maintenance releases are released on an as-needed basis until the end of support is reached for that major release.
Below is the current list of our supported releases and the current end-of-support schedule.
